About ALAS

Ayudando Latinos A Soñar or ALAS is a Latino-centered nonprofit organization that began as a grassroots program in 2011. The organization was born from the desire to help children and farmworker families to feel proud of their identity and culture and amplify their voices. ALAS works tirelessly to pursue this vision in what has become a communal space of support, honoring the cultural strengths that thrive in our Latino coastal community.

The East Palo Alto Community Archive is an internationally recognized repository of historical information about the community of East Palo Alto. Our mission is to collect, share, promote, celebrate and preserve the unique history of the East Palo Alto community for future generations.

We are working hard to ensure that the cultural and historical wealth of our community is recognized and valued in perpetuity.
